I attained my basic medical qualifications (MBBS) in 1974 at the Royal Free Hospital, London.

In 1978, after completing my basic surgical training and passing the required examinations, I was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, FRCS(Eng).

I continued my training as a Registrar in Plastic Surgery at University College, London and Mount Vernon, Northwood. I then completed my training, as Senior Registrar in Plastic Surgery, at St Thomas' Hospital and at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London.

My training in Aesthetic Surgery commenced in 1979 and included facial aesthetic and rejuvenation surgery, breast and abdominal aesthetic surgery, liposculpture and surgery post massive weight loss (body lift, arm reduction and thigh lift ).

I am a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).

I am also a full member (and past council member) of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS)

I have written numerous publications, and written several book chapters, on Plastic Surgery in general and Tissue Expansion in particular.

I was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon 1986 and I am based at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield with specialist interests in reconstruction cleft lip and palate, paediatric plastic surgery, tissue expansion, and microsurgery.

In the private sector I specialise in all aspects of aesthetic surgery including facial surgery (face lifts, brow lifts, eyelid surgery, ear correction, nose reshaping), breast surgery (enlargement, uplift, reduction) and body contouring surgery (tummy-tuck, body lift, liposculpture, arm reduction, thigh lift)

In the Private Sector I am based at Methley Park Hospital, Leeds and the BMI Hospital, Huddersfield.

In the past I was Regional Advisor in Plastic Surgery, I am Chairman of the Regional Training Committee, Chairman of the Craniofacial Anomalies Register, Chairman of the Senior Medical Staff Committee etc
